Monday, June 15 - Wednesday, June 17  
       Vacation Time:   Discounted hotel room rates in effect.  Visit attractions and sites in the area on your own.  Visitor bags will be available at check-in for those who arrive early.
  6:30am - 10:00am   Continental Breakfast available at your PDA reserved accommodation
  8:00pm       (Tuesday & Wednesday) Ghost Walk with special reunion rates. Reserve your tickets by calling Gregg Clark at 828-399-0209.  Save $5 per person by mentioning “Poindexter Reunion Price” to get the discounted reservations of $15 adults and $10 ages 6 to 12. 
           
Wednesday, June 17
  4:00pm       Reunion registration opens, Poindexter Hospitality Room at The Factory (known to locals as the Fun Factory, a former Burlington Industries factory turned into a fun place for kids - both young and old, located next to the Microtel hotel)
  6:00pm       Dinner (Dutch treat) at local restaurant
           
Thursday, June 18
  6:30am - 10:00am   Continental Breakfast available at your PDA reserved accommodation
  8:00am       Reunion registration opens, Poindexter Hospitality Room, at the Fun Factory
  9:00am - 5:00pm   Visit local attractions on your own
  6:00pm       Dinner (Dutch treat) at one of the Fun Factory restaurants
  8:00pm - 10:00pm   PDA Executive Board Meeting
  8:00pm - 10:00pm   The Poindexter Hospitality Room at the Fun Factory will be open
  8:00pm       Ghost Walk, see Monday above for how to reserve your tickets.

Friday, June 19
  6:30am - 10:00am   Continental Breakfast available at your PDA reserved accommodation
  8:00am - 11:00am   Registration open, Poindexter Hospitality Room, Fun Factory
  9:00am - 8:00pm   Highlands Tour (registration required, use the Registration Form)
  • We will car pool for the day to see mountain scenes and waterfalls as we make our way to the nearby town of Highlands.  Yes, as its name suggests, it has altitude. 
  • On your own in Highlands (Bob and Joann will have brochures and ideas):
    • Visit The Bascom - A Center for the Visual Arts (open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm) in Highlands
    • Lunch in Highlands or drive to the nearby town of Cashiers (Dutch treat)
    • Enjoy the scenery, shop, golf, visit the spa at Old Edwards Inn, or just see more of the Highlands and Cashiers area. 
  • 5:20pm, meet in the Bascom's parking lot. Car pool to Dillard, Georgia for 6:00pm Dinner at The Dillard House Inn (included with Highlands Tour registration).  After dinner, car pools return to Franklin.
  8:00pm - 10:00pm   Poindexter Hospitality Room open

Saturday, June 20
  6:30am - 10:00am   Continental Breakfast available at your PDA reserved accommodation

  9:00am - 10:30am   Tastte of Scotland Festival Parade
  10:30am - 11:00am   Break
  11:00am - 12:30pm   Annual Meeting of the PDA. Fun Factory meeting room, all members welcome
  12:30am - 2:00pm   Lunch on your own
  2:00pm - 2:45pm   Presentation: “Early Settlers in Macon County and Western North Carolina”
  2:45pm - 3:00pm   Break
  3:00pm - 3:30pm   Presentation: “The Civil War in Macon County”
  3:30pm - 5:15pm   Break; get ready for group photo and banquet
  5:15pm       Group photo, at the Fun Factory
  6:00pm       PDA Banquet, Boiler Room, Fun Factory (registration required, use the Registration Form). President Bob presiding with a special presentation by John B. Poindexter “What is happening in New Kent County VA?” and introduction of the new PDA President.
           
Sunday, June 21
  7:00am - 9:00am   Continental Breakfast available at your PDA reserved accommodation
  7:00am - 10:30am   Good-Byes for those who have to leave
