to the Poindexter Family Reunion
We, the Planning Committee, are excited to welcome you to the Poindexter Descendants Association's Poindexter Family Reunion on beautiful Lake Norman, near Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to the PDA annual meeting activities and banquet on Saturday, we have many wonderful activities we are planning to assist in making this year’s reunion a great experience and with plenty of time to visit with "cousins" in a very relaxed environment.
Registration and Loding Reservation is now open. Click on REGISTRATION above to find the Registration Form and information for paying by check or with a ceredit card.
Reunion Venue and Lodging
We will be staying at a retreat and conference center operated by the North Carolina Lions Club, named Dogwood on Lake Norman. It is in the middle of nature, trees, pastures and on the shores of Lake Norman. Get away and relax with nature all around.
We have a four-night package which includes nine meals at the lodge (Wednesday dinner, breakfast and dinner on Thursday and Friday, Saturday breakfast and lunch, Reunion Banquet Saturday evening and Sunday breakfast).
And we have a three-night guest room package which includes seven meals will be available all in one location at a very affordable price.
All options and costs are available on the Reunion's Registration Form. Only by completing and returning your Registration Form with payment will you be able to reserve your room. The earlier you send in your completed Registration form and payment, the better.
Plans include a Thursday afternoon sightseeing tour of Lake Norman with light lunch on the Catawba Queen River Boat. The Captain will indicate homes of NASCAR members and other famous Charlotte residents as well as the history of Lake Norman area.
On Friday we will tour, by bus, the Charlotte Metro area with a morning stop, lunch at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in downtown Charlotte, and an afternoon stop at the Billy Graham Library near the airport. Tour will include well known sports venues (Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets) and other less know interesting enclaves, highlighting history and architecture. We will also see some of Charlotte’s neighborhoods which draw their distinct character from lush parks and world class museums.
Saturday includes the annual PDA Members Meeting, presentations and the evening Banquet. There is a rumor that Elvis is living near the Charlotte area and will perform for us during the banquet on Saturday evening.
We will be posting details for the daily activities in the EVENTS SCHEDULE link above. We will send an email announcement to the PDA’s email list and post to the PDA's Facebook page when available. Subscribe to the email announcements by clicking on the Subscribe link below.
