Introduction to the Tours

The Poindexter Descendants Association is hosting two tours in May of 2025, a week in Jersey followed by an optional tour in Normandy.  Join us in our group experiences designed with plenty of time to learn about the areas we visit and meet local people of Jersey along the way.  Be sure to read each page using the links above to know what is required before registering.

About the Jersey Tour, May 14-21, 2025

This is your opportunity to visit Jersey, the ancestral home of the Poingdestre family.  The family name is recorded in Jersey as early as 1309.  We will visit sites related to the family through the centuries and learn about the history of the island from the neolithic era to modern times.

About the Normandy Tour, May 21-26, 2025

Prior to existing records of our family name in Jersey, we have the name recorded in Normandy as early as 1180.  We will visit Mont-Saint-Michel, view the Bayeux Tapestry, stop at D-Day locations including Omaha Beach, explore medieval towns and more.
