Each Day:

• Breakfast: The hotel does not provide breakfast nor have a restaurant. They do offer limited selection of cold continental items for sale. There are some local restaurants three to six blocks away. Hotel rooms do have a fridge and a microwave.
• The Poindexter Hospitality Room will be in the Salt Lake Room on the main floor of the hotel.  Meet with your cousins, socialize, register for the Reunion and receive your name badge.
• FamilySearch Library hours are Monday 9am-6pm, Tuesday through Thursday 9am-8pm, Friday and Saturday 9am-6pm.

Wednesday, August 27, 2025

9am - 4:00pm:  Recording your Family History Stories.  Record your family's oral story.  Reserve you spot on the Reunion Registration Form.  Each session is 90 minutes including preparation.  Limited times available, so sign up now.  Cost to be determined.

1:00apm - 4:00pm:   Poindexter Hospitality Room.   Reunion Check-In, pick up your badge.   Visit with our cousins.

5:00pm:  Dinner:  Meet in the lobby to walk about four blocks to the Poplar Street Pub at 242 South 200 West. The cost of this dinner is not included in Reunion registration.

After Dinner - 10pm:   Poindexter Hospitality Room.   Reunion Check-In, pick up your badge.   Visit with our cousins.

Thursday, August 28, 2025

9:30am:  Meet in the lobby to walk to the FamilySearch Library.

10:00am:  Guided Tour of the FamilySearch Library.  A guide will introduce us to the FamilySearch Library by offering us a 60-minute in-depth tour of the FamilySearch Library with one of their research specialists.  The library offers tools, resources and services as well as genealogical websites available to help you discover your ancestors. 

11:00am - 8:00pm:  Free time to use the Library to research your genealogy, look for your ancestors. Library closes at 8:00pm today.

12:30 - 3:00pm:  Poindexter Hospitality Room.   Reunion Check-In, pick up your badge.   Visit with our cousins.

3:00pm - 4:30pm:   PDA Board of Directors Meeting.  All members are welcome to attend.

5:00pm - Dinner:   Squatters Pub Brewery, 147 W Broadway.   Meet in the hotel lobby at 5:00pm.   We will walk four blocks to the pub.   Cost of this dinner is not included in your Reunion registration.  

Time to be announced:  Tabernacle Choir Practice.  Meet in the Lobby to walk to the practice.  Free, no preregistration required.  Choir's schedule subject to change.

After Dinner - 10pm:   Poindexter Hospitality Room.   Social Time and Reunion Check-In, pick up your badge.   Visit with our cousins, review what you found at the FamilySearch Library.

Friday, August 29, 2025

8:00am - 4:00pm:   Poindexter Hospitality Room.   Reunion Check-In, pick up your badge.   Visit with our cousins. 

9:00am - 4:00pm:   Bus Tour of area sites.  Meet in the lobby at 8:45am.  Sites we will visit include the State Capitol Building, This is the Place Heritage Park, and the Great Salt Lake.   Lunch will be at Ruth's Diner (order from the menu, lunch is not included in the cost of the bus tour).  Preregistration and bus fee required using the Registration Form.   Bus leaves promptly at 9:00am.

5:00pm - 7:00pm:   Dinner:  Red Iguana Restaurant at 736 W North Temple.  Meet in the Lobby at 5:00pm.  The restaurant is 1.1 miles from the hotel, options are (1) form carpools, (2) walk 1.1 miles, or (3) take the TRAX light rail and walk the last block to the restaurant.  This is a buffet dinner for $44 per person.  Preregistration and payment required using the Reunion Registration Form.

After Dinner - 10pm:  Poindexter Hospitality Room.   Social Time and Reunion Check-In, pick up your badge.   Visit with our cousins.

Saturday, August 30, 2025

8:30am - 9:00am:  Poindexter Hospitality Room.   Reunion Check In opens, pick up your badge if you haven't done so already.

9:00am - 10:15am:   Annual Meeting of members of the Poindexter Descendants Association. Poindexter Hospitality Room.   All members are encouraged to attend.   The Annual Meeting is the time when the Association’s committee chairs report on their activities during the past year and the members vote for officers and referendums.   Find out more about what it takes to run the PDA and participate in its future.

10:15am:   Break.

10:30am - 12:00noon: Poindexter Hospitality Room.  Updates on the latest research by the PDA's Family History Research Committee, including American Patriots, Jersey research, DNA Project. 

12:00noon - 1:30pm:   Lunch, on your own.

1:30pm - 4:00pm:   Poindexter Hospitality Room is open for socializing with your cousins.  The morning's lecture presenters and members of the Family History Research Committee will be available to answer questions. 

5:00pm:   Group Photograph, location will be announced during the morning's meeting.   Please be prompt.

5:30pm - 9:00pm:   Banquet.   Buffet dinner and entertainment.  Preregistration and payment required using the Reunion Registration Form.

8:30am:  Meet in lobby to walk to the Tabernacle Choir service.  We need to be seated by 9:15am. Free, no preregistration required.
