Liberation SquareAbout Our Hotels

  • We stay in wonderful locations which are near the areas we visit and tour.
  • Accommodations in all cases are “en suite” that is, each hotel room has its own private bathroom, (specifically, a toilet, sink, and shower and/or tub)
  • Breakfasts and dinners are included in the registration costs at or near our hotels
  • Some of our hotel rooms may be accessible only by stairs, often no elevator is available
  • Most of our hotel rooms do not have air conditioning
  • On the Registration Form, indicate the type of room you prefer (single, twin, or double)
  • Room selection will be assigned based on the receipt date of your Registration Form
  • Although we try to make sure you get the type of room you request, we cannot guarantee it.  The earlier you register, the better your chances.
  • In Europe, hotel rooms are usually smaller than the typical hotel room in the U.S.

Room Types

We can not guarantee each of our hotels will fit the above descriptions.  Indicate your preferred room type on the Registration Form.  We will work with the hotels to accommodate your preferences based on their availability.  For our purposes, we have defined room types on the Registration Form as:

  • A single room has one twin bed and sleeps one person.
  • A twin room has two twin beds and sleeps two people.
  • A double room has either one double bed or two twin beds and sleeps two people.

About the Sole Occupancy Supplement
The Sole Occupancy Supplement is the additional cost that hotels can charge their guests if only one person stays in a room.  If you are traveling solo and wish to avoid paying the supplement, you must indicate on the Registration Form that you are willing to share a room with one other person from our tour.  We will inform you late January, 2025 if there is another tour participant willing to share a room.  If there is not, your payment of the supplement is due with your final tour payment and must be postmarked by March 3, 2025.  Likewise, if you prefer not to share a room and are not seeking a roommate, your payment of the supplement is due with your final tour payment postmarked by March 3, 2025.
